Favorite Mixes from August 2026

Music makes life better, easier, more enjoyable. Pair the right music with a certain mood or time of day and the effect becomes even stronger. If you're reading and following Delayed, chances are this is already your factory setting. The music we gravitate toward often requires a little legwork before revealing its beauty, and August gave us plenty of reasons to keep digging.

Truglut, Joachim Spieth, Clearlight, and Corsair provided the essential wavelengths for mornings and those introspective moments that can appear at any point during the day. Carmen Villain teased a few tracks from her upcoming album during her latest NTS radio show, surrounded by a selection that fits beautifully into the same daytime territory.

Our dear friend DOC delivered a dreamy session for the BLOOMLOOPS podcast, while Colell took the long route with a phenomenally paced journey stretching beyond four hours. Aksamit shone a light across the deeper end of the rhythmic spectrum with her latest recording from Kalambur in Wrocław.

It feels like forever since we last encountered a DJ set from Shoal, but Kenny is back, and in style, with some proper ear candy for the ever-reliable Truancy series.

And finally, Andy Martin at Monument. A set that has been on repeat around here. We'll leave it at that.
