PREMIERE: Gëinst - Labour Cosplay [Orbitando Records]

Fresh from Valencian based imprint Orbitando is a sampler titled, ‘Synaptium’. The incoming VA release is chock full of that deep, experimental, genre agnostic sound that has been enthralling us over the last few summers. This follows a strong EP by IMGL from which we featured Wollemia and maintains their creed of slightly off-center curation, hitting that sweet spot between club friendly, and the realms beyond.

Featuring offerings from Prieste5s, Cwitch, a return to the label by Costélus, Floating Machine & Inerte, as well by IMGL, and Gëinst, Orbitando has accumulated a well-rounded compilation and sampler of the musical sounds flowing through Valencia and regions around. Rhythmic, low-slung and mind bending, the vibes are unmistakable.

Keeping inline with the experimental side of the compilation, we welcome Gëinst and Labour Cosplay. His latest output after ‘Hiber Trace’, the Frenchman flexes his production muscles with his signature crisp sound design, off-kilter percussion and laser-like synths. The track doesn’t initially come off as a peak time entry, but after a few listens it starts to creep into your psyche bit by bit.

Labour Cosplay and the rest of Synaptium will be out on July 10th.
