PREMIERE: Derrik - Airswell [Bluegold]
Mruda’s Berlin-based Bluegold presents ‘Airswell’, their 4th EP of 2026 in a rapid fire year of releases, which features new work from Italian producer Derrik. Bluegold is the sublabel of AcidReflux, a label who we were introduced to over the summer by way of a Kincaid remix. Beginning as an event series in Berlin, the collection of labels launched in 2025 with a focus on fast-paced psychedelic sounds.
The title track Airswell fits into a category I like to refer to as ‘pressure cooker’. It’s a subtle tension-building track, progressing gradually with a steady rumble in the background & dynamic dubby elements peppered throughout. Bluegold succinctly describes the EP as neo-tribal, a thriving sound that can often be attributed to various scenes & crews in Berlin as well as in France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Australia & Derrik’s own Italy.
Derrik’s Airswell releases digitally on December 18th.
