PREMIERE: Aerae - Aether [Qeone]
Mesmerizing dancefloors across western Europe, Aerae is known for a particularly entrancing style of electronic music that’s unhurried & ritualistic. It pulls you inwards, disintegrating one’s perceptions of the outside world. It has been a joy watching Aerae’s creative vision unfold over the past few years. Prolifically gathering steam like a freight train, the French producer & DJ has rapidly amassed a catalog of releases with her distinctly tribal & meditative sonic character, first with Annulled with her ‘Percussive reverie’ debut album in early 2024, then ‘Nefanda’ on Samurai this past summer. It’s no surprise that Polygonia has now welcomed her into Qeone’s musical universe, a label known for an emphasis on the convergence of nature & technology.
‘Aether’ is a track built around the backbone of an undulating sub drone. It fits right into a category that I like to call ‘eyes-closed groove’. Crafted specifically for dancefloor hypnotism, it's for those moments where you take a deep breath & dive inwards, letting the music pull you closer & closer to the cabinet for a full-body massage.
The 4-track Terrā EP is set to release digitally on February 12th on Polygonia’s Munich-based Qeone. You can catch Aerae playing a number of key festivals this spring & summer, including a few b2b appearances with Samurai label-head Presha at Mostra in Barcelona & Parameter for a San Francisco debut.
